How to come

Come without booking, and without waiting at the door.

If there is a table when you arrive, our team will show you to it. If we are full, you scan the virtual queue QR code and we text you as soon as one frees up, so you can take a walk around Conde Duque in the meantime. Wednesday to Friday you usually walk straight in.

When to come

With our peak-hour data: Wednesday to Friday there is most likely no wait at all and you walk straight in. When there is a queue, the average wait is 19 minutes: just enough for a walk around the neighbourhood until the SMS arrives.

Wed to Fri

Hardly ever a wait. You usually walk straight in at any time.

Sat and Sun

There can be a queue, mostly 11:30 to 14:30. At opening (10:00) and after 15:30, much less.

If there is one

19 minutes on average. Join, go for a walk, and we text you.

Questions

Can I book a table at Frutas Prohibidas?
We don't take reservations: everyone comes in by order of arrival. To save you waiting at the door, our virtual queue texts you when your table is ready.
How long is the wait?
Wednesday to Friday you usually walk straight in. On Saturdays and Sundays there can be a queue, mostly 11:30 to 14:30, and when there is one the average wait is 19 minutes (peak-hour data). If you would rather play it safe, at opening (10:00) and after 15:30 it is quieter.
Can I join the queue before arriving?
You join at the door, because the queue follows actual arrival order. Once you are on it you are free to leave: we text you and you come back.
What if I don't come back in time?
We hold your table for a few minutes after the SMS. If you are longer than that we move to the next party and put you back in as soon as you arrive. If you know you will be late, tell us and we will try to work it out.
When does the kitchen close?
The kitchen runs without a break from 10:00 to 17:00: at 16:59 you can still order eggs Benedict, a sando or a burger. After that, cake, coffee, juices and the rest of the drinks carry on until 17:30, so at 17:29 you are still in time. The room closes at 18:00.
Can I come just for cake and coffee?
Of course. We have the cakes and cheesecakes from our workshop, cookies, specialty coffee, matcha, lemonades and juices, and the bar stays open until 17:30 even after the kitchen has closed. The room closes at 18:00. It is also the quietest stretch of the day.
Can I have lunch at four in the afternoon?
Yes. We do not close between breakfast and lunch, so at 16:00 the whole menu is available and there is usually a free table.
